Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients
- 2 cups unsalted butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cloves
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons ground allspice
- 1 shot rum of your choice
- 1 rest of mug water

Batter Prep
- Cream the butter and brown sugar in a mixer.
- Add whipping cream and powdered sugar on low speed.
- Mix in spices; adjust to taste. I prefer a lot of cinnamon and nutmeg.
To Serve
- Scoop a heaping spoonful into an empty mug.
- Pour a shot (or double shot) of rum over it.
- Fill the rest of the mug with boiling water.
- Stir well and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
Use batter immediately or freeze it for up to 3 months. Perfect for a little warm-up on a long, dark night.
You can halve the recipe for a smaller party.
